Remote Jobz Kenya is a job matching service for Kenyan professionals looking for remote work. We operate through WhatsApp and Telegram, as well as this website.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use our service:
- Name (provided when you set up your profile)
- Phone number (from WhatsApp or Telegram, used to communicate with you and process M-Pesa payments)
- Email address (provided during setup, used to send you job match notifications)
- Job preferences including category, subcategory, role, and experience level
- Skills (used to find jobs that actually fit what you can do)
- Payment records from M-Pesa transactions processed through Paystack. We never see or store your PIN or card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to:
- Match you to remote job listings based on your skills and preferences
- Send you daily job match notifications via WhatsApp, Telegram, or email
- Process subscription payments via M-Pesa or card through Paystack
- Send service-related communications (payment confirmations, profile reminders)
- Improve the accuracy of our job matching algorithm
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. The only exceptions are:
- Paystack to handle M-Pesa payments securely. Their own privacy policy applies to what they process.
- WhatsApp and Telegram as the platforms we deliver messages through. Their privacy policies apply to messages sent on their networks.
We never share your profile or contact details with employers or job platforms.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers with encrypted connections and access controls. All payment processing goes through Paystack. We never see your M-Pesa PIN or store any card details.
6. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will get it done within 14 days. Payment records may be kept a bit longer for tax and legal reasons.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Withdraw consent for data processing
